We had planned to spend a week on the North Island travelling around before flying to Dunedin for me to begin my job. But Dave's visa was delayed, so he stayed in Seattle to wait for it. I figured I'd better get over jet lag before beginning work, so I flew to Auckland on June 20 and spent a week there alone.
